Ron Rupp
Ron, 65, and Barb have three adult children – Brett (Payson), Todd (Sacramento), and Jennifer (Yuma).
Ron was born and raised in New Castle, PA, and is a graduate of Youngstown University in Ohio and Indiana University in Indiana, PA. He taught choral and instrumental music in public schools for 13 years, serving as a band director, the music superintendent for two school districts, as well as a music teacher.
While a high school senior, Ron became a Christian and God led him into His service through Ron's musical gifts.
In his position as Pastor of Worship, Ron served 12 years at Grace Community Church in Tempe, another 12 years at First Baptist Church of Elk Grove, CA, and has spent the last four years at a church in Lakeland, FL, where he and Barb also care for her parents.
Ron is not only a well-trained and experienced musician, but also a humble and godly man who feels ready to accept the challenge of a music ministry in a senior congregation.
He has been described as a tender-hearted, positive and praying man with a generous heart, who walks by faith and encourages others to develop their individual gifts. Ron has shown a capacity to work effectively with people and has successively served in a pastoral role with several congregations.
